Design for America is an idea incubator, a motivated community, and a way of approaching complicated challenges. DFA shapes the next generation of social innovators. This Catalist community is for DFA members to network and share opportunities and resources in order to better collaborate on solving complex challenges.
Universe City is a new Coworking/MakerSpace in the East New York Industrial Zone, offering creatives, makers, and educators a community to build, grow, learn, network, and create change in their local communities.
Oceanside offers a bustling economic thoroughfare between Long Island and beloved South Shore Beaches. Oceanside offers a variety of dining and shopping experiences from mom-and-pop to national brand retail stores. The Oceanside Chamber of Commerce is a community for local business owners to be able to share the help that they are looking for and the resources they are offering in a way that engages with the community to create and foster collaboration and mutual business growth.
Together with the Severino Center, Eship at RPI is a main source of funding, education, and resources/mentoring for RPI students and alumni that are taking the path to entrepreneurship. Eship helps student teams perfect their business plans, models and presentations for entry into local, regional and national business plan funding competitions. Rensselaer undergraduates and graduate students have participated and won funding in a variety of entrepreneurial business competitions. The Eship RPI Catalist community is about connecting RPI startups to other people in the RPI community that are looking to join teams, as well as central repository for constantly evolving and changing events, competitions, and opportunities available to RPI students and alumni.
The University Innovation Fellows program empowers students and faculty to become leaders of change in higher education. Fellows are leading a global movement to ensure that all students gain the attitudes, skills and knowledge required to navigate a complex world. The UIF Catalist Network is a space for UIF students and alumni to better connect and collaborate on their project, initiatives, and personal careers in order to strengthen the community and share resources and opportunities.
The Clinton Global Initiative University (CGI U) is a year-round leadership development program, where students collaborate and learn from a network of alumni and leaders from business, government, academia, and civil society. Students develop their own Commitments to Action — new, specific, and measurable projects to address pressing challenges in their communities — and the year-round curriculum culminates with CGI U’s annual meeting. The CGI U Catalist Network is a place where CGI U students and alumni can better share opportunities to collaborate and work together to push their projects, startups, and initiatives further to create a broader global impact.
